I called Debtwave after a divorce, I was 30,000 in debt and it was putting a huge strain on me. Right away the woman on the other end explained all of the options I had to get out of debt, she even explained the risks and benefits of each one. I opted for the option that would help my credit instead of hurting me. They explained also that there would be a 49$ fee along with the lump sum payment option I decided to choose. They then explained the process to me, had me call my creditors, and when I ran in to problems with one they bent over backwards to get it resolved. Now I have one monthly payment, which is a little less than it would have been if I had just paid minimums, and I will be out of debt in 3 years. I will have saved 10s of thousands of dollars and over 2 decades of payments. All in all I would recommend Debtwave to anyone in high interest credit trouble that can at least afford to pay their minimums. I am watching my debt shrink each month and all I had to do was set it up through them. My credit score has raised 60 points (to 720) since my balances are not maxed out, and I can breathe again with my head above water. It is tough, I don't have any credit cards open as of now, but I am able to live and still enjoy myself without having to see maxed out credit cards in my name, and Debtwave was my savior.
In summary, I would recommend Debtwave Credit Counseling to a friend.
